Take advantage of an opportunity to talk with our state legislators this Friday morning. The League of Women Voters Needham welcomes all three Needham legislators to Needham. The League has asked them to update us on their work this session, discuss three League-supported bills in the League’s action areas, and get their take on the future of health care in Massachusetts.
Two weeks ago, our legislative team – Representative Denise Garlick, Senator Richard Ross, and Senator Michael Rush came to the March 7th School Committee meeting. I have worked with all three since they joined the Legislature, and their teamwork and support of Needham’s educational priorities has been important to our community.
Their annual joint participation at a School Committee meeting is only a small window into the work we do together, but it is a valuable opportunity for a direct dialogue. I encourage everyone to take advantage the opportunity the League provides to have that same kind of conversation. The meeting will be held Friday, March 24 at 9:15 a.m. at the Needham Public Library.
